How TrueTotal works
TrueTotal shows you the true total cost of a thing, not just its sticker price: we take the headline price, add every hidden cost you’d actually pay (fees, delivery, tax, running and maintenance costs), then subtract what it’s realistically worth when you resell it. What’s left is the true value, and that’s what we rank by — so the cheapest sticker isn’t always the cheapest choice. The method is published, the same for everyone, and the rankings are never for sale.

Making a complaint
If something has gone wrong, email support@truetotalcalculator.com with “Complaint” in the subject and tell us what happened and what you’d like us to do. We’ll acknowledge it and work with you to put it right.
If you’re in the EU and we can’t resolve it between us, you can escalate to your local consumer-protection authority, or use the EU’s online dispute-resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Using these routes is your right and is always free.
Data & privacy requests
To exercise your GDPR rights — including the right to access the data we hold about you or to have it erased — email privacy@truetotalcalculator.com. We keep an append-only click and conversion log for commission reconciliation; an erasure request is handled by scrubbing the personal fields of that log (the coarse referer/user-agent and any identifiers), leaving only the non-identifying financial totals we’re required to keep. FAQs
Yes. Browsing, searching and every true-cost calculation are free. We earn a commission only when you choose a partner and book or buy through a labelled affiliate link — it costs you nothing extra and never changes what you see.
No. Rankings are computed by the published TrueTotal method and placement can’t be bought. Whether, or how much, a partner pays us has no effect on where anything ranks.
Where a listing shows a sourced-and-dated badge, the figures are real — taken from a named source on the date shown. Where no badge is present, the numbers are illustrative examples to show how a true total is built up, not a live quote. Always confirm the final price with the partner before you buy.
