Accessibility statement

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use TrueTotal, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we treat it as part of building the product, not an afterthought.

What we’ve implemented

These features are built into every page today:

  • •Visible keyboard focus. Every interactive element shows a clear focus ring when reached by keyboard, so you always know where you are (it stays out of the way for mouse users).
  • •Skip to content. A skip-to-content link is the first thing keyboard users reach, letting them jump straight past the page chrome to the main content.
  • •Single main landmark. Each page exposes one <main> landmark, so screen-reader and assistive-tech users can navigate to the content directly.
  • •Reduced-motion support. If your system asks to reduce motion, we honour it — animations and transitions are effectively disabled site-wide.
  • •Screen-reader labels. Off-screen text labels give screen-reader users context that is otherwise conveyed only visually.
  • •Self-hosted fonts. All fonts are bundled and served from our own origin, so text renders reliably without depending on a third-party font service.
  • •Sufficient contrast. Text and interface colours are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast on our dark canvas.

Independent audit

We have not yet had a formal, independent accessibility audit, so we’re not claiming certified conformance. An independent audit is planned, and this statement will be updated with its findings and any resulting fixes once it’s complete.

Reporting a problem

If you hit an accessibility barrier — anything that’s hard or impossible to use with a keyboard, screen reader, or other assistive technology — please tell us at support@truetotalcalculator.com. Describe the page and what went wrong. Accessibility issues are prioritised, and we’ll acknowledge your report and let you know how we’re addressing it. This statement was last reviewed on 24 July 2026. It will be updated after the formal audit and whenever we make a material change to the site that affects accessibility.
