Third-Party Links Disclaimer

EFFECTIVE 3 AUGUST 2026

TrueTotal does not sell anything. Every purchase happens on someone else’s site, under their terms. This page explains what changes the moment you follow a link out of here.

⚠ NOT LEGAL ADVICE
This document was drafted in-house to state TrueTotal’s actual practices plainly. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by qualified counsel. Before TrueTotal takes commission or trades, a solicitor qualified in Ireland should review and adapt it.
WHEN YOU LEAVE THIS SITE
You are dealing with that company, not with TrueTotal. Their price, availability, terms, refund policy and privacy practices apply — not ours. We are not a party to your purchase and cannot resolve a dispute about it on your behalf.

Why we link out at all

A comparison that cannot take you to the thing being compared is not much use. We link to retailers, brokers, operators and manufacturers so you can check the real, current offer for yourself — which is exactly what we ask you to do before spending money (see Pricing & Accuracy).

Outbound clicks pass through our own /go redirect, which records the click and attaches any affiliate tracking before forwarding you. That redirect only ever sends you to an allow-listed partner domain — it cannot be manipulated into forwarding you somewhere else, which is a real phishing risk on sites that redirect to arbitrary URLs.

What we do not control

  • Their prices. They change independently of our figures, and the price you see there is the real one.
  • Their availability. An option we list may be sold out, withdrawn or region-restricted.
  • Their terms and conditions, including delivery, cancellation, refunds, warranties and dispute handling.
  • Their privacy practices and cookies. Once you arrive, their policy governs — including any tracking they perform. Our Cookie Policy stops at our boundary.
  • Their content and accuracy, including product descriptions, imagery and claims.
  • Their accessibility and security. We cannot warrant either.

What a link does and does not mean

A link means we believe the destination is a legitimate place to check or buy the thing described. It is not an endorsement of that company, its service or its conduct, and it is not a recommendation to buy. Equally, the absence of a seller is not a criticism — it usually just means we do not have reliable data for them yet.

Some outbound links are affiliate links that may earn us commission at no extra cost to you. Which ones, and at what rate, is disclosed on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Commission never affects whether a seller is listed or where it ranks.

Before you buy on a third-party site

  • Confirm the total at checkout, including delivery, fees and taxes — that is the number that matters.
  • Check the cancellation and refund terms, especially for travel and high-value items.
  • Check who you are actually contracting with — some sites host multiple independent sellers.
  • Keep your own record of the offer. We cannot evidence what a third party displayed to you.

If something goes wrong with a purchase

Your contract is with the seller, so they are the right first contact, and your statutory consumer rights apply against them. If you paid by card you may also have chargeback rights through your card provider. As an EU consumer you can use the European Commission’s ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, and your national consumer protection body can advise.

We cannot intervene in that dispute — but we do want to know about it. If a seller we link to is behaving badly, that is information about whether they should remain listed at all. Tell us at hello@truetotalcalculator.com.

Broken or wrong links

If a link 404s or lands somewhere other than the item described, please report it via Report an Error. Sellers restructure their sites often, and a link that pointed at the right page last month may not today.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject always to your non-excludable consumer rights, we accept no liability for the content, products, services, availability or practices of third-party sites, or for loss arising from your dealings with them. See Limitation of Liability and Terms of Use.
